Harry Redknapp has offered his advice to Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli regarding his future at White Hart Lane.

European heavyweights Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs being linked with big-money moves for Alli, who scored his 19th goal of the season in Sunday’s 4-0 win against Watford.

But Redknapp, who managed Spurs between 2008 and 2012, believes the 20-year-old can fulfill his ambitions right where he is.

When asked how he’d advise Alli going forward, the 70-year-old told Talksport: “Stay at Tottenham, it’s a good club to be at.

“Everything’s in place there, he’s absolutely idolised by everybody; the fans. It looks like he’s got a great relationship with the players and everybody else, he’s playing his best football. Stay there and see how it goes.

“He’s 20, give it the next three or four years, see what happens. If Tottenham can be as successful as I think they can be then he’s got no need to want to move.”

Plucked from League One Milton Keynes Dons in 2015, Alli has fast established himself as one of the Premier League’s top attacking midfielders at Tottenham, and his form this season has played a huge part in the club’s second successive push for the title.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side currently trail leaders Chelsea by seven points, but remain on course to better last year’s third-placed finish having opened up a five-point lead over Liverpool below them with a game in their favour.

The 17-cap England international signed a new deal until 2022 at the start of the campaign.
