Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly interested in Everton attacking midfielder Ross Barkley.

Everton's Ross Barkley scores their second goal

Ross Barkley is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League. The Everton star is playing well at the moment and appears to have added consistency to his game.

The 23-year-old has been at Everton his entire professional club football career so far and has a contract with the Toffees until June 2018, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

According to talkSPORT, Barkley is delaying signing a new contract with the Merseyside outfit, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all reportedly interested in the attacking midfielder.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United manager Harry Redknapp has praised the England international, and believes that the attacking midfielder will remain at Goodison Park for years to come.

“I’m a great Ross Barkley fan,” Redknapp told Everton’s official website. “If you are an England manager, he’s one of the players you build your team around.

“I absolutely love watching him play – he has got everything. Him and Dele Alli at Tottenham are two amazing young talents.

“For me, Ross is one of my favourite players. I think he’s a great talent. I’m sure he will be an Everton and England player for many years to come.”

Barkley is far from the finished article, and he should remain at Everton for one more season at least. It could be tempting to leave Goodison Park to play Champions League football or compete for the Premier League title, but for his own development, he needs to carry on playing of the Toffees.

The 23-year-old has scored four goals and created 53 chances in 23 Premier League appearances for Everton so far his season.
