Harry Redknapp has told Sky Sports (16/09/20 at 9:25 am) that Harry Kane will be his ‘favourite’ for the Golden Boot ahead of players such as Mo Salah if Gareth Bale signs for Tottenham.

The former Premier League boss was initially asked who would have the better front three between Spurs and Liverpool, if Bale returns to North London, and he claimed both would be ‘incredible’ but Tottenham’s would ‘just be amazing’

Only a few days ago, it looked like Spurs were heading towards another season of stagnation and lacklustre performances, but if the Welsh wizard signs on the dotted line then it does change things dramatically.

Redknapp, who managed Bale at Spurs, was first asked who would have a better from three – Liverpool or Bale-included, Spurs?

“My god,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.”Any one of them [front three] would have done me, that’s for sure. That is two scary line-ups. They are both incredible. I mean that Tottenham’s front three would just be amazing.

“Harry Kane, he’s so special to have. With Bale coming, I think Harry would be my favourite to be top goalscorer even though there’s one or two like Salah and Aubameyang, who are going to push him close this year. Vardy is still scoring goals. But Harry Kane would be my tip, especially if Bale arrives.”

Premier League top scorers 2019/20

  1. Jamie Vardy – Leicester

    23

  2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Arsenal

    22

  3. Danny Ings – Southampton

    22

  4. Raheem Sterling – Manchester City

    20

  5. Mohamed Salah – Liverpool

Sky Sports have reported that Gareth Bale is waiting for the green light to fly to London and seal what would be a quite remarkable move back to Spurs.

At this moment in time, Spurs don’t have the best front three in the country, that title perhaps falls to Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah on Merseyside.

But throwing Bale into the mix of Kane and Heung-Min Son would more than certainly add serious spice to their front line and make them a seriously dangerous outfit for this season.
