Steven Gerrard is the new manager of Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers.

Liverpool legend Gerrard has been appointed as the new manager of Rangers in what is his first in such a role.
The former England international midfielder is one of the greatest footballers in Premier League history.
Gerrard has appointed Gary McAllister as the assistant manager at Ibrox, while Michael Beale, Tom Culshaw and Jordon Milsom have arrived at the Gers as coaches.

Redknapp, who has managed clubs such as West Ham, Tottenham, Southampton and Queens Park Rangers in England, has advice for Gerrard.
“My advice would be do it your way,” Redknapp told The Daily Record. “Be yourself. Stand and fall by your own decisions.”

Big job at Rangers
Gerrard may be a big-name player, but that is not going to count for anything when he takes charge of the Rangers first team.
A few bad results at the start of the season will increase pressure on him, and it is important that the Gers win matches in the opening weeks of the season.
The former England international did well during his spell as the Liverpool Under-18 manager, and Rangers fans will hope that he can at least close the gap between them and Old Firm rivals Celtic next season.
