Harry Redknapp has told TalkSPORT on Thursday morning (9.15AM) that he feels West Ham have enough to survive relegation come the end of the season – but fears for Everton and nephew Frank Lampard, who is under big pressure.
Everton were battered 4-1 at home by Brighton this week, outplayed by Robert De Zerbi’s side. The Toffees have won just three Premier League matches this season out of a possible 18, and have slipped into the relegation zone.
West Ham, meanwhile, stopped a run of consecutive losses with a 2-2 away draw at Leeds United. The Hammers went 1-0 down but having gone 2-1 up, Rodrigo Moreno scored his 10th goal of the season to draw the Yorkshire side level.
Asked about old club West Ham and nephew Lampard at Everton, Redknapp gave his verdict on whether either side would avoid the drop. He expects West Ham will pick up and steer clear. But is worried about Lampard and Everton.

“I do fear for Everton, I look at Everton’s team, they’ve got it all on. It is going to be tight down there but I do think West Ham will be fine. I follow every game, I kick every ball for Lampard,” Redknapp told TalkSPORT on Thursday.
“At the start of the season, I looked at their squad – they had Calvert-Lewin injured. Signed Maupay – they’re very short. He needs help. If Lampard had Conte’s squad he would be delighted. It is going to be a long season for Everton.”
Redknapp feels West Ham have enough to survive but fears for Everton
Redknapp is right. You would expect that West Ham, with the quality they have in their side, will avoid relegation or even a relegation fight – come the end of the season. David Moyes needs to work out his best side, players to gel.
There are signs that it is beginning to happen. But for Lampard, he just does not have the tools to be able to take Everton forward. While some of his signings have been questionable, he has not been given the required backing.
Everton’s squad is a poor one. Defensively, some excellent options but in attack, not enough. Lampard needs his side to be hard to beat and at the moment, they are not. Another relegation battle is incoming for the Toffees.
