Harry Redknapp has claimed that Tottenham, along with Manchester City and Liverpool, will pull away from the rest of the top six next season.

The former Premier League boss believes Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea need a ‘miracle’ in the summer if they are to break into the top three.

There is no doubt that Liverpool and City have dominated this season, with Spurs sitting comfortably in third and the rest then battling it out for the final Champions League spot.

Speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on TalkSport (30/04/2019 at 8:15 pm), Redknapp shared his thoughts on the top six and what will happen in seasons to come.

“I look at the teams in England now,” Redknapp told TalkSport. “I see Man City, Liverpool and Tottenham. I think they’ll run further away. Unless, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have a miracle in the summer.

“I think those three teams, even though Tottenham are way behind them in the title race, I think quality wise they are on a different level. I think Arsenal, for me, have fallen way behind Tottenham. I watched them against Leicester there is some work to be done at Arsenal. There’s work to be done at Man United and Chelsea have the transfer embargo.

“I certainly see the top three pulling away next year even more so. I see Tottenham closing the gap to Man City and Liverpool then I see a gap from them three between the next three.”

What Tottenham produce in the future will be largely dependant on what happens in the transfer market. There is no doubt that Pochettino needs to bulk up his squad.

Added with that, after moving into their new stadium, he will now want to keep hold of his top stars in the summer as the North London club aim to reach the next level.

If that does happen then it’ll only increase their chances of challenging the top two and potentially winning a Premier League title down the line.
