Harry Redknapp has claimed that if Antonio Conte can find the key to Dele Alli, then he can turn the struggling Tottenham player into a ‘£120 million player’, as he told Sky Sports News (01/11/21 at 6:05 pm).
The former Spurs boss thinks that will be one of the big challenges facing Conte because Alii is a ‘great talent’.
After sacking Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday morning, it seems as though the North London club are wasting no time in bringing Conte through their doors.
It seems as though he could be announced as quickly as Tuesday, and pen down an 18-month contract, according to Sky Sports
Redknapp pointed out that there is talent in Tottenham’s ranks and someone just needs to find the key to ‘unlock’ it all.
“You keep changing the manager,” said Redknapp. “Something is wrong, somewhere.
“Someone has got to find a key to unlock that bit of talent that is there and get them playing. Find a system that suits everybody and gets the best out of them.
“Get Dele Alli playing. Find a key to him. That’s going to be a big challenge for him.
“If he gets him playing, then it’s going to be like having a new £120 million signing because Dele Alli is a great talent.”

It has been a rough ride for Alli for a number of years now, with a number of managers struggling to get the best out of him.
The 25-year-old struggled towards the back end of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign, which continued under Jose Mourinho and didn’t change under Nuno.
If Alli shows any of those signs under Conte, then he won’t be shown the exit door, but kicked out of it.
Spurs, if Conte indeed comes in, now have a manager that is a popular appointment amongst supporters and someone who will be backed if he feels certain players aren’t showcasing their worth.
