The former Tottenham Hotspur manager knows Lampard well and worked with him at West Ham United.
Villa are looking for a new manager following the dismissal of Dean Smith.
The Daily Mail have claimed that former Chelsea and Derby County boss Lampard would be interested in taking over at Villa.
Redknapp said on talkSPORT (7:36am, November 9, 2021): “Aston Villa job as well is a job for sure that would interest him.”

Lampard is a very young manager, but the 43-year-old has already shown a lot of promise.
The Englishman guided Derby County to the Championship playoff final.
And then Lampard took Chelsea to the Premier League top four.
Now, of course, we know that Lampard got sacked by Chelsea, but the Blues do tend to sack managers quite often.
Derby and Chelsea played good football under Lampard, who has a wealth of experience as a player.
Villa are a big club who have lofty ambitions.
Lampard himself played for some big clubs, and managing the Villans would not faze him.
