The former Tottenham Hotspur manager knows Lampard well and worked with him at West Ham United.
Villa are looking for a new manager following the dismissal of Dean Smith.
The Daily Mail have claimed that former Chelsea and Derby County boss Lampard would be interested in taking over at Villa.
