Tottenham Hotspur have won just once in their last 10 matches.
Harry Redknapp has told the Jim White Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 28th November, that the players Tottenham Hotspur bought to be rotational options last summer all weaken Mauricio Pochettino’s side when they come into the team.
Spurs signed the likes of Vincent Janssen, Georges Kevin Nkoudou and Moussa Sissoko to strengthen their squad this season.
However, Tottenham’s new recruits – with the exception of Victor Wanyama – have all struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have not only crashed out of the Champions League at the group stages, but they are already playing catch up in the race for the top four.
Spurs are four points behind fourth placed Arsenal, after a poor run of form has seen them slide down the Premier League table.
And Redknapp believes that Pochettino’s task is made difficult, as when he rotates his Spurs side, the back-up players at his disposal all reduce the quality in his starting line-up.
“The players that they have bought as back-up, when they come in they definitely weaken the team quite a bit,” the former Spurs boss said.
Tottenham have won just once in their last 10 matches across all competitions, and the North London side are under pressure to get back on track quickly.
Tottenham are next in action at the weekend, when they take on relegation threatened Swansea City at White Hart Lane.
