Hull City’s Harry Maguire celebrates scoring their first goal
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in signing Hull City defender Harry Maguire in the summer.
The London Evening Standard is reporting that Spurs have decided that Maguire is the first-choice target for Spurs at the back, ahead of Michael Keane and Ben Gibson of Burnley and Middlesbrough respectively, with Austrian centre-back Kevin Wimmer set to leave.
The 24-year-old has been in fine form for Hull this season and only has 12 months left to run on his current contract.
There is one point from the story that will seriously make Maguire a perfect Tottenham target – his wages.
According to the Standard the big centre-back is only on a wage packet of £20-25,000-a-week at the KCOM Stadium.

Spurs like to keep wages under control at the club, to maintain their financial stability that has become synonymous with the club in recent years.
Maguire would clearly be an option for Spurs financially and one who fits their current profile both in monetary terms and footballing terms.
He certainly seems like a perfect target for Daniel Levy, Pochettino and Tottenham Hotspur.
