The England defender says he has loyalty to the Foxes after a move from Manchester United was rejected.

Harry Maguire has admitted that he had discussions with Leicester City after interest from elsewhere but that he respects their decision to reject any advances.
Manchester United were widely rumoured to be after the England international over the latter part of the transfer window, with a figure of £65m being suggested.
“I spoke with Leicester after a bit of interest from clubs, and they reiterated that I wasn’t for sale and I respected that decision,” the Mirror quotes Maguire as saying.
Going further, Maguire also explains his feeling towards the Foxes – and they’re words that every Leicester fan would want to hear.
“They gave me an opportunity to play in the Premier League when I had just been relegated with Hull,” he said. “They gave me that opportunity and it is a club I am really enjoying my time at. I am playing week in and week out which is important to me.
“They have given me the platform to play at the World Cup so I feel I owe them and I respect that decision. Now I am looking forward to the season.”

We know that not every player feels such loyalty – Leicester fans themselves watched as N’golo Kante left after just one excellent year – and hearing such commitment from Maguire certainly is refreshing.
Things may be different in a year, of course, but for now, the fans and the club can rest assured that they have an excellent player who feels a strong commitment to the club, something that will stand them in great stead this year.
Riyad Mahrez’s exit to Manchester City leaves Leicester needing as much continuity as they can get – and it sounds like they can thank Maguire for giving them just that.
