According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is aiming to be back ahead of schedule having been ruled out until March.

Spurs lost 1-0 at home to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, and have been dealt a huge blow in the aftermath of the game with Kane’s injury.

A challenge late in the game saw Kane suffer ankle ligament damage yet again, and he has been officially ruled out until March.

However, the Daily Mail report that Kane is now planning to rush himself back into action, and is aiming to return before that March aim.

Kane has been known as a quick healer over the years, and he is now aiming to do it again by most likely returning in February rather than March.

That plan will surely worry and excite Spurs fans in equal measure. Having their talismanic striker back earlier than expected may boost their Premier League and Champions League hopes whilst easing the pressure on the club in the transfer window.

However, the notion that Kane may rush himself back into action before he’s truly ready will raise fears that he will end up re-injuring himself, putting himself on the sidelines for even longer.

It’s a tough balance to strike, and whilst Spurs are preaching patience, they will hope that when Kane does make himself available he again, he doesn’t put himself at risk of any greater danger.
