The Tottenham Hotspur players have been criticised for having a weak mentality over this past week.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday, and responded when asked whether Spurs’ failure to win big games is linked to a weak mentality at the club, as quoted by ESPN.
Mauricio Pochettino has earned rave reviews for the job that he has done during his time in charge of the Lilywhites, but his failure to guide his side to a trophy must be something that is becoming a genuine concern for everyone involved with the club.
Kane himself has struggled in recent games, and appears to have been adversely affected by the controversy that surrounded him following the appeal he lodged to claim his side’s second goal away at Stoke two weeks ago.

It is hard to criticise the England international, though. He has, after all, scored 37 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham this term.
The 24-year-old spoke to reporters after hIs side crashed out of the FA Cup, and responded when asked whether a weak mentality could be an issue at Spurs, as quoted by ESPN:

“It could be.There’s obviously a reason why we’re falling short in the semi-finals, or in the big games. So we have to do better.”
The Lilywhites still have a lot of work to do this season if they are to secure their place inside the top four.
They need eight points from their final four games to guarantee Champions League football next season, and next up on their agenda is a home game against Watford a week from today.
The Tottenham players will be desperate to show some mettle, and put their recent disappointments behind them by beating the Hornets.
