Two key players are Harry Kane and Gareth Bale, with the hopes of their nations very much resting on the former and current Tottenham Hotspur stars.
But who was better in the opening games of Euro 2016? Oulala decided to find out. And it was a win for the Real Madrid man as he came out on top in five of the key areas looked at.
He managed that crucial opening goal, as well as more shots and a better shot accuracy than Kane did for England. He also managed more successful passes, although Kane did actually enjoy a much better pass completion rate.
The Tottenham striker also created more chance, and enjoyed more successful take-ons, although Bale was slightly better when it came to aerial duels.
A win for Bale overall though who will be hoping to dominate the stats again when the two sides meet on Thursday.
