Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have found out who they will be playing in the 2019-20 Champions League group stage.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has had his say on the Champions League group stage draw on Twitter as Spurs discovered their fate on Thursday evening.
Mauricio Pochettino’s charges, who reached the final of the competition last season, will lock horns with Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Red Star Belgrade in Group B.
Bayern, the Bundesliga champions, won the Champions League in 2013 and have reached the last four in six of the last eight seasons, making them undoubtedly Tottenham’s toughest opponents in the group.
Greek Super League runners-up Olympiacos thrashed Russian side FC Krasnodar 6-1 in a qualification playoff, while Red Star defeated Young Boys on away goals to reach the group stage (The Independent).
Here is what Spurs talisman Kane wrote on Twitter regarding the group draw:
Some Tottenham fans took the time to reply to him and wished him well ahead of the start of the competition (plus this Sunday, given a particular local derby):
The first Champions League group matchdays are to be staged on September 17-18, with the subsequent rounds on October 1-2, October 22-23, November 5-6, November 26-27 and December 10-11.
Last-16 ties take place in February and March, with the quarter-finals in April and semi-finals in May, before the final at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul on May 30 (Evening Standard).
