Gary Lineker has said on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane’s ‘goal’ against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was wrongly disallowed after he was adjudged to have committed a foul on Thiago Silva.

Tottenham have suffered a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea in the London derby on Sunday evening.

Hakim Ziyech put Chelsea in the lead in the opening minutes of the second half, and then Thiago Silva made it 2-0 on 55 minutes.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were the better team over the course of the 90 minutes in the Premier League game.

However, there was one controversial moment in the first half that could have changed the complexion of the game.

In the first half, Kane fired home from inside the Chelsea penalty box after collecting a low cross from his Tottenham teammate Ryan Sessegnon.

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga could do nothing about it.

However, Kane was adjudged to have committed a foul on Chelsea central defender Thiago Silva in the build-up to the goal.

The England international striker was adjudged to have pushed the Brazilian to the ground.
