Tottenham Hotspur have announced on their official website that Harry Kane has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The England Under-21 international has put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal which will take him through to 2020.
Kane is enjoying a breakthrough season at White Hart Lane this campaign and has been one of the best players for Spurs so far this season.
The 21-year-old striker has scored 20 goals in all competitions, including 10 in the Premier League.
The youngster has been one of the best young players in the top-flight, and the new deal is nothing more than he deserves.
It is interesting to note that Tottenham made such a big announcement on transfer deadline day. Whether they make signings today or let players leave remains to be seen, but the tying down of Kane to a long-term deal is huge for the future of the team.
