Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane says he is looking forward to returning to action this Friday.

Reflecting on his injury, and the global health crisis which delayed the season, Kane said he has been on ‘a long and hard working road to recovery’.

The delayed season has actually enabled Kane to play a role for Spurs, as opposed to seeing his return timed to feature for England at Euro 2020, which was originally due to kick off this past week,

Kane is expected to be a starter for Tottenham against Manchester United on Friday night in the Premier League.

Rio Ferdinand responded to Kane’s message, urging him not to score against his former club.

Kane’s return is a welcome bonus for Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, who had originally been expecting to face his former club without a recognised striker available.

Heung-Min Son and Steven Bergwijn are also available for selection, and their support will help Kane out.

Tottenham can close the gap on fifth placed United to just one point with a win, while a loss could effectively knock them out of the race for the top four.
