The BBC report Spurs are officially setting no time frame over his length of absence – but The Guardian report he faces eight weeks on the sidelines.
Kane says he will be battling at his utmost to make a swift return for the club, and is backing them to succeed in his absence.
Kane has scored two league goals this season for Tottenham in five games, but drew a blank in their first Champions League tie at Wembley last week in the defeat to AS Monaco.
He will be desperate to get back and continue the club’s European adventure, with five games remaining of the group stages, the last taking place in December.
Tottenham are unbeaten in the Premier League this season and sit in third place, the same position they finished in 2015/16.
