Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has said on Amazon Prime Video Sport that he is happy to see his former Spurs teammate and current Manchester United attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen playing football again.

Kane has said that it would be great for him to catch up with Eriksen when Tottenham take on Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League next month.

The £228,000-a-week (SalarySport) Denmark international playmaker moved to United on a free transfer in the summer of 2022 after leaving Brentford at the end of last season.

Kane and Eriksen played at Tottenham before the Dane left for Inter Milan in 2020.

At Inter, the playmaker worked with current Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte and won the Serie A title in 2020-21.

Interestingly, Eriksen was linked with a move to Spurs in the summer of 2022 before he moved to Old Trafford.

The 30-year-old attacking midfielder told The Manchester Evening News in August that Tottenham wanted to sign him, but they did not make an offer.

Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020.

The playmaker collapsed on the ground, and it was horrifying for everyone to see.

The Dane eventually recovered and is back playing football again.

Kane said about Eriksen: “Yeah, it’s great that Christian is back. It was scary for everyone, him and his family and people close to him, people in football, very scary time.

“To see him come back and do what he did for Brentford last season, and then obviously at United now.

“Hopefully we can come away with a win. It would be great to see him, catch up with him. Wish him all the best for the rest of his career.”
