Tottenham Hotspur are back in action tonight after a quite dramatic few days.
Spurs announced on Sunday that they were intending to join the European Super League in a hugely controversial decision.
Fans were completely against the idea of Spurs breaking away to join a league that seemed to oppose fair competition so clearly.
Not even 12 hours later, Spurs confirmed that they had sacked Jose Mourinho as manager, just six days away from Tottenham’s Carabao Cup final clash with Manchester City.
Spurs face Southampton tonight against the backdrop of all that chaos, and Ryan Mason takes charge of the club for the first time.
Mason has been handed the job as interim boss until the summer, and whilst it’s unlikely that he will be Tottenham’s permanent solution, you just never know.

Ahead of tonight’s game, Harry Kane – who is set to miss out through injury – has taken to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to his old friend.
Kane admitted that he knows how much this opportunity means to Mason, and promised to give him everything whilst he’s in the job as the 29-year-old received support from Tottenham’s biggest star.
