Ian Wright has suggested on The Kelly & Wrighty Show that Tottenham Hotspur need to create chances for Harry Kane just like Chelsea do for Romelu Lukaku.

The Arsenal legend made the comments about Kane and Lukaku ahead of the Premier League game between Tottenham and Chelsea this weekend.

The London derby will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

Wright said on The Kelly & Wrighty Show: “You are watching someone like Lukaku, hardly had touches in the game, but he has already got four goals in six games, and that’s the difference with Chelsea, is that Chelsea can now, if it is very tight, they have got the person to take the half chance.”

Valid point

Kane has yet to score in the Premier League and could not find the back of the net in the Europa Conference League last night.

Lukaku, who returned to Chelsea from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, has scored three goals in the Premier League and one in the Champions League.

The Belgium international striker had two chances against Aston Villa last weekend, and he took both of them.

Spurs failed to create any chance whatsoever for Kane against Crystal Palace last weekend.

The striker could not score, and Nuno’s side lost 3-0.

If Tottenham are to win the London derby against Chelsea, then they simply have to create chances for Kane.

Kane is a proven goalscorer, but you need to feed him the ball in and around the opposition penalty area.
