Tottenham No.10 Harry Kane has reacted after hearing what Manchester United fans chanted about him during Thursday’s 2-2 draw in N17.
The England international provided an assist for Heung-min Son to equalise as Spurs fought back from 2-0 down to salvage a point, which keeps their faint hopes of a place in the top four alive.
During the game, the travelling Manchester United supporters aimed a chant at Kane – now, he has responded.
What’s the story?
Well, the Manchester United fans could be heard singing “we’ll see you in June” at Kane amid talk of Erik ten Hag wanting to sign the 29-year-old this summer.
It was Sky Sports who claimed that Manchester United want the Tottenham talisman at Old Trafford.
When asked about the chant, Kane told the Mirror: “I heard what they were saying but I’m just focussed on this team and trying to finish strongly.”
The Londoner will soon enter the final 12 months of his contract at Tottenham, leading many to speculate whether this is the summer he finally leaves Spurs after handing in a transfer request back in 2021.

From a footballing aspect, there is not much going on at Tottenham to convince Kane that it would be worth staying.
Spurs are managerless after sacking Antonio Conte, and are also without a Director of Football after Fabio Paratici left the club due to his 30-month ban for false accounting.
It is a chaotic time at Tottenham right now, and Daniel Levy will surely have to do something special to keep Kane in north London.
Kane should avoid Manchester United
In our view, Kane should only leave Tottenham for Manchester City.
There is no guarantee that Kane wins the biggest trophies – such as the Premier League and the Champions League – if he moves to Old Trafford.
Contrastingly, Manchester City have won four of the last five Premier League titles, and often reach the latter stages of the Champions League – making the final in 2021.
There is no point in Kane ending his legacy at Tottenham to join a side in Manchester United who still have a lot of work to do before they hit the level of Manchester City.
At the age of 29, Kane cannot afford to wait for any more projects to take shape.
