Tottenham Hotspur have issued a disappointing update on Harry Kane’s fitness.

Harry Kane has taken to Twitter to thank the supporters after Tottenham announced on their official website that the striker will be out until March after sustaining an ankle injury at the weekend.
Kane’s injury somewhat overshadowed Spurs’ defeat at Wembley, and the club have now provided an update on his fitness that will leave Mauricio Pochettino with plenty to ponder with the January transfer window, of course, open.
It is, of course, a massive blow for Tottenham at this stage of the season. In comments reported by the Guardian last month, Pochettino suggested that he was not expecting to have funds to make significant improvements during this window.

Spurs clearly still have goals all over the pitch. Sunday was the first time since October that Tottenham have failed to score in any competition. But Kane’s absence could make the next couple of months much tougher unless there is a surprising, late change in their transfer plans.
It remains to be seen how Pochettino responds to the setback. But for now, Kane has taken to social media to comment on the injury and send a message to the fans who have reached out to the striker.
