Jose Mourinho’s time at Tottenham Hotspur is over, and there are major questions for the club to answer this summer.
Two of his key players were Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, with the duo regularly causing mayhem for Premier League defences.
In the end, it became clear that Mourinho relied too heavily on the duo in the final third, with little help arriving from others in attack.
Spurs must attempt to keep both players, as whilst the focus is on Kane and his potential desire to pursue silverware with another club, Son’s future isn’t settled either.
The South Korean attacker has two years left on his Spurs deal, and rumours about an extension have really slowed down in recent months.
Son turns 29 in July, and he would surely attract interest from other clubs if Spurs can’t get him tied down to a new long-term deal.
Son has been a fan favourite since his 2015 move from Bayer Leverkusen, but few could blame him if he wants to pursue silverware elsewhere having been left devastated by Sunday’s 1-0 Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City.

Kane has now been speaking about Son, telling Sky Sports that he has been ‘incredible’ with 20 goals and 16 assists in all competitions this season.
Kane noted to great connection they have together both on and off the pitch, with his comments making it clear that Son needs to stay – and keeping him may just help convince Kane to stay too.
“Son has been incredible,” said Kane. “We have a really good connection, a really good understanding. We get on really well on and off the pitch. We’re good friends and I’m happy to see him playing well too,” he added.
