Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane seemingly wants to leave – but he may have a nasty shock about his price tag.
Rumours have been swirling for weeks now, and have ramped up again this week with Sky Sports reporting that Kane has again asked Spurs to let him leave this summer.
Kane has now spoken to Gary Neville about the situation, suggesting that he doesn’t know what Daniel Levy is thinking about right now.
Kane suggested that Levy may be willing to sell for £100million, believing that his value will only dip the closer he gets to 30.
That may be a subtle message from Kane, attempting to bring his own value down in order to get a move, but Neville believes the deal would be more like £200million than £100million.
“As players you don’t know what the chairman is thinking,” said Kane. “He might want to sell me, he might be thinking ‘if I can get £100million for you, why not?’ – I’m not going to be worth that for the next two or three years.”
“I think it will start with a two – I don’t think it will be one!” Neville said, laughing off Kane’s valuation.

You would have to imagine that Neville is probably closer to being right here; Levy surely wouldn’t sell Tottenham’s prized asset for £100million.
£200million may be pushing it, but it would surely take at least £150million to get Levy to even think about a deal this summer.
Kane still has three years left on his contract at Spurs, so Levy is under no pressure to sell, and with Tottenham hoping that he stays for life, they may not be too worried about his value dipping in the coming years.
