Who would have thought it, Harry Kane no longer being referred to as a Tottenham Hotspur player as he prepares for England duty.
Harry Kane and James Maddison
Instead, it’s James Maddison who is repping Tottenham on the international stage now – he recently surprised Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
On Wednesday, Bayern Munich hitman Harry Kane posted a three-word message, via his Instagram story, which simply read ‘back at it’, as he was pictured alongside Spurs’ new star.
It is surely heartbreaking for the Spurs fans that they never got to see the duo showcase their magic on the Premier League stage because it would have been devastating.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have made an unbeaten start to the new Premier League season and they are scoring goals galore, including five against Burnley last time out – Ian Wright thinks it’s ‘quite scary’.
If Kane was still at Hotspur Way, then just like Son Heung-min at the weekend, he would have already picked up a hat-trick.

Tottenham proving to be better without Kane
Based on early season form and performances, they are looking far better without their club-record goalscorer.
Postecoglou himself deserves a lot of credit for that because he has brought the whole club together after a morale-sapping season last time out.
Added to that, players, such as Maddison, are stepping up and taking responsibility, which bodes well for the club as a whole as they move forward.
