Tottenham Hotspur take on Liverpool at Anfield this afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has told The Guardian that whilst he thinks Virgil van Dijk is ‘great’, he doesn’t think he is invincible.
Spurs take on Liverpool in the Premier League this afternoon, facing a difficult trip to Anfield given their patchy form this season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side still haven’t really hit top form in the Premier League this season, but did enjoy a great 5-0 win over Crvena zvezda earlier this week in the Champions League.
That may give Spurs a confidence boost today, but Liverpool have dropped just two points in the Premier League this season and sit top of the league.
Spurs will have memories of last season, where they conceded a late goal to lose 2-1 at Anfield, and will be desperate to get some revenge having lost the Champions League final to Liverpool in June too.
One of the key battles will be between Liverpool defender Van Dijk and Tottenham striker Kane, as has been the case on so many occasions.

Even in the UEFA Nations League over the summer, Kane and Van Dijk went head to head with their countries, just weeks after their Champions League final battle.
Van Dijk has had the upper hand in recent games, but Kane has offered a defiant message ahead of today’s game, saying that whilst the Dutchman is a ‘great’ defender, he isn’t invincible, and neither are Liverpool as Kane looks to instil some belief in a shaky Spurs side.
“Van Dijk is a great defender but he is not invincible and Liverpool are not invincible,” said Kane, who will be desperate to score against Liverpool’s talismanic defender.
