Newcastle United are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, according to Eurosport.
What’s the story?
Eurosport are reporting that the new Newcastle owners are keeping tabs on Tottenham striker Kane.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) are looking at England international striker Kane as a possible transfer target.
It is being reported that PIF believe that Kane ‘could transform the expectation levels’ at Newcastle.
Could Harry Kane really join Newcastle United?
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and is an England icon.
The 28-year-old striker would be a blockbuster signing for Newcastle.
However, we have to say that it is very unlikely that a transfer will happen.
Of course, you never know in football.
And, as we know, money talks.

But we find it really hard to imagine Kane moving to Newcastle in the January transfer window or even next summer.
Tottenham know that selling (arguably) their best player in the middle of the season will only damage their chances of finishing in the Premier League top four.
Newcastle could make a big bid for Kane and could offer the striker a huge salary next summer.
That could well be very tempting, but we do not think that Kane will join a team who are about to start a new project.
If Kane wants to leave Spurs, then he will want to move to a club who are already fighting for titles.
