Trevor Sinclair has said on talkSPORT that he has spotted a sign that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will join Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

The former City winger believes that Tottenham reportedly agreeing a fee with Inter Milan over Lautaro Martinez suggests that Kane will now be sold.

The Times reported over the weekend that Spurs have agreed a fee with Inter over the transfer of the Argentina international striker.

However, the report added that Spurs want to sign the 23-year-old Inter striker to play alongside Kane and not replace the England international in the team.

City manager Pep Guardiola said last week that he wants to sign Kane from Spurs, as quoted on Sky Sports.

Sinclair said on talkSPORT: “I think it’s going to be difficult. The reason why I’m more inclined to say it’s going to go through is because it looks like Spurs are getting closer to [Lautaro] Martinez.

“It will be a little bit like what Villa did before they let Jack Grealish go. They signed [Emi] Buendia and [Leon] Bailey.”

Could a transfer happen?

Since the report in The Times was published, there have been other reports suggesting that no deal is in place, and that Martinez will not leave Inter.

You can read those reports here on HITC Sport.

Tottenham have always been adamant that they will not sell Kane.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator, and he is not going to sell Kane now if he has made up his mind not to.

If Levy does decide to sell the 28-year-old striker, then he will make sure that City pay what he wants them to pay.
