Harry Kane praised Chelsea as a ‘top’ team after the out-of-form side were beaten by London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 on Sunday in the Premier League.
The pressure has gone up a few levels on Graham Potter, whose team are now 14 points off fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and ten points clear of the relegation zone.
Record amounts have been spent on this Chelsea team from new owner Todd Boehly, including a British record transfer of Enzo Fernandez during the January transfer window.

Many make the point that Roman Abramovich would have booted Potter out by now, but the point also needs to be made that the former Chelsea owner also wouldn’t have appointed a man of the Englishman’s calibre.
A certain Arsenal manager, now sitting at the top of the Premier League, was also facing a spot of bother during his early stages at the Emirates and he is now thriving.
But will those in the Chelsea boardroom remain patient and continue to back their long-term plan? Well, they will be very brave to do so, as Harry Kane shared his honest thoughts on his London rivals, as he told Premier League Productions (26/02/23 at 3:40 pm).
“A really important result, Chelsea are a top team and they are tough to play against,” said Kane. “We struggled, especially here at home in the last few years.
“A really important win. We played really well, especially in the second half, I thought we really put our foot on the pedal and deserved the 2-0 win.”

WILL TODD BOEHLY STICK OR TWIST?
Losing games recently was bad enough, slipping further away from the Champions League places was mounting more pressure on Potter, but this is the worst defeat of the lot.
Chelsea’s record against Spurs is very strong. But those who have probably backed the former Brighton boss in recent weeks are probably wanting him out now.
If Todd Boehly does stick with Potter, for now, then a big few weeks remain because Chelsea are still in the Champions League despite their recent defeat to Dortmund in the first leg.
