Spurs striker Harry Kane sat down for an exclusive interview with the Independent and explained how the club’s new stadium build highlights the ambition of the manager and the board.
Tottenham have enjoyed an incredibly successful Premier League campaign so far this term, and are still in with an outside chance of winning the title, with just four points separating them and league leaders Chelsea.
They are expected to move into their new 61,000 capacity home for the start of the 2018/19 season, which will, in turn, greatly increase revenues, and subsequently enable the Lilywhites to compete financially with Europe’s biggest clubs.
And the 23-year-old England international shared how much of a boost it is to see the development and progression of their new stadium being built every time he and his teammates turn up for training, when speaking exclusively to the Independent:

“Every time we drive in as a squad we can see how big the new stadium is getting. Everything is getting built up and it shows the way the club is going.”
The prospect of playing in such an impressive new arena will surely help Tottenham attract the kind of superstar names they need in order to be competitive in the Champions League over the next few seasons.
It will also help in keeping the likes of Kane around for the long-term, and with 21 goals in 26 Premier League outings for Spurs thus far, they cannot afford to lose their star man.
