Harry Kane has taken to Twitter in the wake of Tottenham’s victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, and unsurprisingly, was full of praise for Christian Eriksen.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men kept the Premier League title race going with a hard-fought win against the Eagles. However, initially, the home side proved resilient for much of the contest, and looked to be on course to secure a share of the points as the final 20 minutes began with the game still goalless.

However, Eriksen had other ideas, taking advantage of an opening around 30 yards from goal by smashing home a wonderful shot into the bottom corner.

And Kane has heaped praise upon the Denmark international and suggested that the brilliant strike could be looked back upon as a key moment in the club’s season.

With Chelsea winning on Tuesday and, in the process, extending their lead at the top of the table to seven points, some may have wondered whether Spurs would able to close the gap to four points once again or whether they would fall away as they unfortunately did last season.

However, they managed to battle their way to three points at Selhurst Park to keep the pressure on the leaders, and Tottenham will be hoping, at the end of the season, that Eriksen’s goal proves to be as big a moment as Kane suggested it may well be.
