The striker has told Spurs TV his team are well prepared for their biggest game of the campaign to date.
Though its not been a particularly fruitful start to the new season for Harry Kane himself, Tottenham Hotspur head into Wednesday night’s North London derby with Arsenal in high spirits following their win over Crystal Palace at the weekend.
Not one to get down on his lack of goals so far, however, the 22-year-old appears full of intent ahead of the midweek Capital One Cup clash at White Hart Lane.
Speaking in an interview with Spurs TV ahead of the game, the England international assured that his team are in a good place before kick-off, and will be looking to make Arsenal work for anything they may get.
“We’re going into this game with a lot of confidence,” Kane said. “It’s going to be a perfect game. It’s (also) going to be a quite open game, so we’ll bring a lot of energy to it.”
The pitting together of the capital rivals is a contest which evokes fond memories for the Spurs striker. In their last meeting at White Hart Lane, Kane scored a brace to lead his team to a 2-1 win after going behind in the first half.
If there’s a time for the Tottenham academy product to get his tally moving for the new season, then Wednesday night against the eternal enemy seems as good a time as ever for Kane to do so.
