Harry Kane has ordered his Tottenham teammates to build on their win against Everton by beating Manchester United on Saturday evening. Spurs cruised to a 5-0 win over Everton, boosting their top-four credentials.

Kane, 28, took his tally to 20 goals in all competitions for the season with a stunning brace – while Son Heung-min, Sergio Reguilon and Michael Keane own goal saw Spurs bounce back from defeat to Middlesbrough.

The win sees Tottenham go level on points with West Ham, while also boasting two games in hand over the Hammers. They are now three points behind North London rivals Arsenal, who are in the driving seat in fourth.

Speaking after the match, England skipper Kane instantly warned his Spurs teammates that if they are to show any kind of top-four credentials – they need to produce a similar performance and win against Manchester United.

“It is definitely our ambition to get into the top four. We have to be be consistent, it is important to win games like tonight. We aren’t the finished article yet, but Conte has settled in,” Kane said, as per Sky Sports.

“We’re in a really good place now, there are no excuses from our point of view – we’re in the mix. If we really want to be there, we have to win games like Saturday against Manchester United.”

Kane on top-four: Do Tottenham really have a chance?

Kane is absolutely bang on. Tottenham have proved to be very inconsistent this season and if anything is to be made of winning against Everton – they will lose against United on Saturday. A win, though, would be enormous.

The obstacle for Tottenham will be Arsenal. The Gunners have a game in hand, are in superb form and sit three clear. The rearranged North London derby will be crucial in dictating who finishes in fourth place.
