Tottenham Hotspur take on CSKA Moscow tonight in their final Champions League group game.
Spurs striker Harry Kane described how he and his teammates have been hurt by the manner in which they let the fans down, with their poor performances in the Champions League this season, and how he is determined to restore some pride tonight by helping ensure their qualification into the Europa League, with a win at Wembley against CSKA Moscow, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Kane, 23, spent around six weeks on the sidelines through injury, and has only been back involved with the first-team squad for Tottenham’s last five games.

He has made an instrumental difference to his side’s potency in front of goal though, and has already racked up six goals since his return.
Kane discussed the importance of tonight’s game against the Russian outfit, when speaking to tottenhamhotspur.com, and explained how it is time that Spurs repaid some of the faith shown in them by the fans:
“It’s been a frustrating campaign in the Champions League, but we know we need to go out and win on Wednesday night. We have to finish the group with a bit of pride, qualify for the Europa League and then try to win it because that’s what football is all about, winning trophies. We also want to give the supporters something to cheer about. They’ve been incredible in our last two matches at Wembley, but we’ve not been able to repay that by giving them something to celebrate. That hurts us as players.”

Many fans and pundits believe that participation in the Europa League could have a detrimental effect on Spurs’ hopes of pushing their way inside the top four of the Premier League.
Winning breeds winning, however, and if Kane & Co can put together a good run in Europe, then who knows how much of a positive impact that could have on their domestic campaign.
