Harry Kane has delivered his verdict on West Ham United as Tottenham prepare to face their London rivals on Sunday – after the England skipper scored once again during Wednesday night’s 2-0 win over Brighton.
Kane, 28, took his tally to 22 goals for the season in all competitions – and his fifth Premier League goal in four as Spurs eased past Brighton 2-0 on the south coast. Cristian Romero got the first on 37 minutes, before Kane’s goal.
Another example of Tottenham’s consistency, in which they were excellent against Graham Potter’s side – having suffered defeat to Manchester United on the weekend. But their top-four hopes are alive, after Arsenal lost.
Tottenham’s focus immediately switches to Sunday’s London derby against the Hammers in a game that Antonio Conte’s men will have to win to keep their top-four hopes alive. Kane delivered his verdict on the Hammers.
“West Ham are right there in the top-four chase, it will be a really tough game and it is really important for momentum going into the international break,” Kane said after the 2-0 win, as per BBC Live.

Having suffered defeat to Manchester United, they looked down and out. But United themselves remain inconsistent, and their confidence will be down having lost to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
They face a tough test against Leicester on Saturday evening, while Liverpool cruised to a 2-0 win at The Emirates on Wednesday night. Spurs are now just three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal. There is still hope.
But in order to maintain that hope, Conte, Kane and co. must beat West Ham at home in order to remain in the hunt. They will benefit from West Ham having to face Sevilla in the Europa League on Thursday night.
