Tim Sherwood has said on Sky Sports News (2:52pm, August 21, 2021) that Manchester City will eventually sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The former Tottenham manager believes that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will sell Kane in the final days of the window.

The Telegraph have reported that Premier League champions City have made a bid of £125 million for the 28-year-old striker.

City manager Pep Guardiola himself has said that he wants to sign the England international striker from Spurs.

Sherwood said on Sky Sports News (2:52pm, August 21, 2021): “I think they will go and get Harry Kane. In the end, they will do the job.

“I can’t remember Daniel Levy ever selling a player more than a couple of days before the transfer window closes. That’s when he is going to get the maximum amount of money.”

How will Harry Kane transfer saga end?

The summer transfer window closes at the end of the month. There is not much time left.

If City are really determined to sign Kane, then they have to make an improved offer now.

Remember, Spurs will need to sign a replacement striker if Kane leaves.

City simply cannot leave it until the final day of the window to make a deal happen.

Now, of course, Spurs chairman Levy may not actually want to sell Kane at any price, but if City are keen on securing the services of the striker, then they should bid around £150 million and make it more tempting for the North London club.
