Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has vowed to be back as soon as he can after injuring his ankle.

Kane got injured at the weekend against Bournemouth and underwent a scan to assess the ligament damage yesterday.

Tottenham’s official website stated that Kane ‘is expected to return to first team training next month.’

The exact date of his return is unclear but what is important is that Kane’s season is not over, and the upcoming international break mitigates the impact on Tottenham’s season.

Kane broke his silence on Twitter following the injury, making clear that he will be working hard to ensure a swift recovery.

Spurs teammate Toby Alderweireld responded, urging the striker to get back to action as quickly as possible.

Alderweireld is another player who has been undergoing injury issues of his own, after a stop-start recovery from his hamstring injury suffered back in November.

He is expected back after the international break, potentially ready to make his comeback against Chelsea in their crucial Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on April 1.
