Tottenham Hotspur picked up an impressive win in the Premier League this weekend. Spurs dealt out a thrashing to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium for the second season in a row – winning 4-0.

It was a result that will hopefully spring Spurs season into life after what has been seen as something of a sluggish start to the season so far.

It was also good to see Harry Kane back on the scoresheet for the first time this season.

It was the England striker’s 50th Premier League goal and he was clearly pleased with reaching the landmark:

The game also featured a debut for one of the club’s new signings. Spurs brought on Moussa Sissoko in the second-half v Stoke and the big money arrival from Newcastle United was clearly very pleased to play his first game for his new club:

Dele Alli also tweeted after the win.

The England midfielder was back to somewhere near his best yesterday and was clearly very pleased to have found the scoresheet:

Even those who could not be involved were happy. Belgian midfielder Mousa Dembele has not featured at all for Spurs yet this season – as he continues to serve a suspension for an eye-gouge last season v Chelsea. But he is chomping at the bit to get started:

Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Victor Wanyama, Kyle Walker and Toby Alderweireld were also tweeting about the win – as Spurs prepare to start their Champions League campaign v Monaco this week:
