Michael Dawson has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:05pm, August 15, 2021) that he thinks that Manchester City will have to pay £160 million to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Tottenham central defender – who is now an ambassador for the club – hopes that Kane does not leave, but he thinks that the Premier League champions will have to cough up as much as £160 million for the 28-year-old.
The Times have reported that City are planning to make a bid of £120 million for the England international striker.
City manager Pep Guardiola himself has publicly acknowledged his interest in Kane.
Dawson said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:05pm, August 15, 2021): “They paid £100 million for Jack Grealish. If you are going to get Harry Kane, it’s going to be £160 million, in my opinion.”

The Premier League champions are certainly not short of money.
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world. The Englishman guarantees you goals.
Just look at his record – 166 goals in 245 appearances in the Premier League.
City suffered a defeat to Tottenham in the Premier League today.
It indicated that the Citizens need a striker like Kane.
Of course, we have to acknowledge that it is Dawson’s opinion that City need £160 million to sign Kane.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy could well have a higher figure in mind.
Or Levy could simply not sell the striker at any price.
