Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers side secured their second league win of the season at the weekend.

Harry Forrester has told the Evening Times that Rangers must get better at moving the ball around quicker if they hope to enjoy a successful season in the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers maintained their unbeaten start to the new campaign at the weekend as they beat Motherwell 2-1. But just as they had to on the opening day against Hamilton, Mark Warburton’s men had to battle back from a goal down after Scott McDonald had given Well the lead at Ibrox.
And Forrester has suggested one of the reasons why the Light Blues have had to do things the hard way in the league so far this term.
“We need to move the ball a lot quicker. In the first half it was being moved too slowly and they were able to get back into position,” he told the Evening Times.

“If you let teams get back and behind the ball they are really difficult to break down. But from the first minute of the second half we got behind them a few times, pinned them back and moved the ball a lot quicker.”
Though the results have been somewhat scrappy, Warburton will surely take some positives from the way the side have managed to come through this period unbeaten and with two wins under their belt.

With several new signings within the squad, it was always going to be difficult for the Gers to replicate the style that brought them so much success last season so quickly this time around.
But with the team managing to still pick up points even when they are below-par, it is surely fair to say that once they rediscover their best football, it will be very difficult to deny them playing a key role in the title picture.
