Mark Warburton’s Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers lost dramatically at Pittodrie.
Midfielder Harry Forrester has told Rangers TV, via The Glasgow Evening Times, that the 2-1 defeat at Aberdeen last month was a “sickening blow.”
The Gers fought back from a goal down at Pittodrie to level up the clash with 15 minutes to go following an Andy Halliday penalty.
But a last-minute free kick from James Maddison deprived Rangers of what would have been a thoroughly deserved point.
The goal was steeped in controversy, however, due to the so-called foul which preceded the free kick.
Right-back James Tavernier was penalised for what looked a clean challenge on Johnny Hayes, and television replays confirmed the legality of the tackle, but referee John Beaton said otherwise and Maddison took full advantage.
The defeat came two weeks after Rangers’ 5-1 humiliation at Celtic, with a 0-0 home with Ross County in between, and Forrester has said it was a simply “sickening” afternoon at Pittodrie that day.
“It is a winning industry and we know that. In recent weeks, we have been better and we have played a lot better,” he told Rangers TV, via the Glasgow Evening Times.
“It was a sickening blow at Aberdeen and it seems to be that is the way things are going at the moment. It wasn’t a foul and then the boy puts it in from 30 yards.”
Rangers bounced back by beating Partick Thistle 2-0 on Saturday, a perfect start to the month after losing two and drawing two Premiership games in September.
