He has started five games for Mark Warburton’s Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.
Harry Forrester has admitted to Rangers TV that it is “very frustrating” being in and out of the first XI this season.
The 25-year-old midfielder has only started five of Rangers’ first 12 games on their return to the Scottish Premiership.
The former Doncaster Rovers man, who joined the Ibrox club in January, will have hoped to play a bigger role this season after injury and substitute appearances populated his first six months in Glasgow.

But although Forrester says he is disappointed not to have played more, the Rangers man, who scored in two of the Gers’ first three Premiership outings under Mark Warburton, seems determined to win his place back in the first XI.
“It has been very frustrating, for a footballer to not be playing on a Saturday takes all the excitement away and to get yourself up for training,” he told Rangers TV.

“But this is part of the job and when you’re at a club like Rangers that is going to happen and it is up to me to try and find a way of getting back into the team.
“I have to deal with disappointment and I have learnt that over the years and at a club like Rangers you’ll be tested for your position.”
With the January window closing in, it could be cynically suggested that Forrester is putting himself in the shop window, but with Niko Kranjcar out injured and Joey Barton out of the club, he could see more game time shortly.
Forrester did not make the matchday squad for the 1-1 draw at Ross County prior to the international break, and was unused sub in the 3-0 win over Kilmarnock before that.
Rangers, who sit third in the table, 11 points behind Celtic, host Dundee at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
