Mark Warburton’s Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have dropped 12 points this season.
Midfielder Harry Forrester has told Rangers TV, via The Glasgow Evening Times, it frustrates him that the Gers are not showing Scotland’s top flight what they are really made of.
Rangers have picked up one win from their previous five Scottish Premiership outings, which came in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Partick Thistle.
Prior to that, Mark Warburton’s side lost 2-1 at Aberdeen and drew 0-0 with Ross County. On both occasions, the Glasgow giants were arguably the better side on the day.
Of course, the 5-1 defeat at Celtic was a major reality check for Rangers amid suggestions that they could challenge their Old Firm rivals for the Premiership title.
But for the most part, Warburton’s troops have been better than what their 12 points from eight games probably suggests, and the 25-year-old admits it is frustrating.
“We know what we have got inside and that is the frustrating thing,” he told RangersTV. “We all know what we have got, we work hard day in day out every single one of us.
“To not be getting your rewards on Saturday, then you get pressure, you get comments here, there and everywhere. We are trying.”
They bounced back on the weekend, beating Partick Thistle 2-0 in a game where they weren’t at their best, oddly enough, but on the whole it is not shaping up to be the fairytale return to the big time which many thought it would be.
