Bournemouth-owned Cardiff City midfielder Harry Arter has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message to Tommy Elphick, who has joined Hull City on loan from Aston Villa.

Elphick moved to Hull on a season-long loan deal from Championship rivals Villa on transfer deadline day.

The 30-year-old defender moved to the Villans from Bournemouth in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £3 million.

The former Brighton and Hove Albion man spent the second half of last season at Reading after moving to the Royals on loan from the Villans in the January transfer window.

Arter, who has been on the books of Bournemouth since 2010, moved to Cardiff on loan from the Cherries in the summer transfer window.

The Republic of Ireland international midfielder has taken to Twitter to send a message to his former Bournemouth teammate Elphick, who will be determined to establish himself as a regular in the Hull starting lineup in the coming weeks after his loan move from Villa.
