Queens Park Rangers should make a move for Newcastle United’s Haris Vuckic in the summer transfer window.
It would not be wrong to say that Haris Vuckic has failed to fulfil his potential so far. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has been on the books of Newcastle United since 2009, but he has been out on loan on a number of times.
There have been occasions during his loan spell when Vuckic has looked very good, but for some reason he has simply failed to progress. Injuries have played a role, and it appears that his relationship with Newcastle is coming to an end.
The Slovenian attacking midfielder’s current contract with Newcastle runs out at the end of the season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, and it is unlikely that he will be handed a new deal.
While signing the 24-year-old would be a risk, Queens Park Rangers should take the gamble and recruit him on a free transfer.
The attacking midfielder may not be able to break into Ian Holloway’s starting lineup rightaway, but he would be an able back-up.
Vuckic’s talent and quality is undeniable. What the Slovenian needs is a manager who has faith in him. Holloway is a good man-manager, and he could bring the best out of the former Domzale.
At 24, Vuckic will be determined to make up for lost time and will be keen on showing what he is capable of. A one-year deal would not be a bad idea for QPR.
