West Ham United are currently in a whole world of trouble, and David Moyes and his team face a lot of hard work ahead of them.
The Hammers appointed David Moyes as their new manager last week, following the sacking of Slaven Bilic, and the Scot’s arrival in east London was not greeted with much optimism from the West Ham faithful.
The 54-year-old’s reputation within the game has taken a battering following his failed stints at Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland, and it seems as though he has been offered somewhat of a last chance saloon at the London Stadium.
The hammers are currently embroiled in a whole world of trouble, and sit in 18th position in the Premier League table after their woeful return of just nine points from the 11 games they have played thus far.
If they are to excavate themselves from trouble, Moyes will have to hit the ground running, and he has taken steps in his attempt to do just that by appointing two assistant managers.
The Scot has named Alan Irvine and Stuart Pearce as part of his backroom team, and also hopes to bring Billy McKinlay to the club, as confirmed by WHUFC.com.
And the news didn’t go down too well amongst Hammers fans.
