The teenage defender Maksim Paskotsi has confirmed his move to Tottenham Hotspur from FC Flora Tallinn.
Flora announced last month that they had agreed to sell Paskotsi to Spurs, with the blessing of their sporting director Norbert Hurt, who described staff at the London club as ‘open and supportive’.
The Estonian player was said to have agreed a three-year deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
And posting on Instagram on Wednesday, Paskotsi wrote:
Paskotsi is a 17-year-old central defender who has appeared on the right of a back four and played twice already for the Flora first team, according to Transfermarkt.
He is said to have undergone a trial spell at Tottenham’s Enfield Training Centre in August, after Spurs registered their interest the previous month.
Should Paskotsi eventually make it into the Tottenham first team, he would become the first-ever from his country to do so.

And he is likely to be encouraged by Spurs’ decision to let go a trio of academy centre-backs, Luis Binks, Benjamin Watt and Maxwell Statham, this year, while also loaning out Timothy Eyoma.
