Liverpool fans think that they still may have hope of landing Jadon Sancho in the future, after the latest update on his future.
Sancho was strongly linked with a £108 million move to Manchester United this summer (Sky), but Borussia Dortmund director Michael Zorc told Sky Sports yesterday that the England international would be kept with his side for the upcoming campaign.
“We plan with Jadon Sancho. He will play with us next season. I think that answers all the questions,” he said.
The comments have given Liverpool supporters hope again that a deal for Sancho could be agreed.
Liverpool don’t have the funds to compete with United for Sancho’s signature this summer.
However, there is a belief that the Reds will have a bigger budget to spend next term, after another successful season.
And Liverpool supporters are hoping that Sancho could well arrive at Anfield in 2021 now that his potential move to United is in serious doubt.
If Sancho was to join Liverpool next season it would be one of the biggest transfer twists in Premier League history.
The 20-year-old appeared to be all set to move to Old Trafford, but there are serious concerns over whether that deal will take place now.
Sancho joining Liverpool would surely be bad news for the rest of the Premier League.
The Dortmund winger is one of the most exciting talents in world football and his arrival at Anfield would only make Liverpool an even more frightening attacking prospect.
